Cable Insulation Machine

The Cable Insulating Machine, typically an extrusion line, is a sophisticated system designed to apply an insulating jacket to a bare conductor continuously. Key components include a pay-off for the conductor, a precision extruder and crosshead to melt and shape the polymer (like PVC, XLPE, or LSZH) around the wire, a cooling flume to solidify the insulation, and a capstan and take-up to control tension and collect the finished cable. These lines achieve high speeds (up to 600m/min or more), ensure accurate insulation thickness, and often feature PLC control and multi-layer (co-extrusion) capability for complex products like power or automotive wires.
