CCV Cable Crosshead

The CCV (Catenary Continuous Vulcanization) Cable Crosshead, typically a Triple Crosshead, is a critical component in the production of medium to high voltage power cables. Its primary function is to simultaneously co-extrude three layers—inner semi-conductive, primary insulation (like XLPE), and outer semi-conductive—onto the cable conductor in a single, highly precise process. It features a finely balanced melt distribution channel structure, often oil or water heated, to ensure uniform pressure, minimal shear, excellent concentricity, and consistent wall thickness across all layers, which is crucial for the electrical integrity and quality of high-voltage cables.
