The UPVC pipe making machine, often an automatic pipe extrusion line, is designed to produce unplasticized polyvinyl chloride pipes with high efficiency. It typically includes a conical or parallel twin-screw extruder for plasticizing the PVC raw material and additives, offering outputs that vary widely, commonly ranging from 40-450 kg/hr depending on the model and pipe size. The line features a die head to shape the molten plastic, followed by a vacuum sizing/calibration tank which uses precise vacuum and cooling (water spray or flood) to set the pipe's diameter and wall thickness, ensuring dimensional accuracy across pipe sizes from approximately 12 mm to over 315 mm. Further downstream, a haul-off unit ensures constant line speed, and a cutter (often a planetary cutter for larger pipes) precisely cuts the pipe to the required length before a tilter or stacker manages the finished product, all controlled by an integrated PLC system for optimal performance and minimal rejection rate.
